Mar. 14, 2018 J. Percy Priest Lake, Davidson Co. TN
There was a large presence of swallows over Percy Priest this
morning. Scanning out from Seven Points across the lake at least 500
swallows were flying, mixing and swooping, moving approximately N-W.
Distance and atmospheric interference didn't allow for much species
identification from here, but one each N. Rough-winged, Purple Martin, and
Barn Swallow were seen close enough for positive I.D.
Later from Hamilton Creek, in better light, all (~125) observed were Tree
Swallows. My FOS Osprey was seen over the sailboat marina.
