My wife called me at work yesteday to tell me that an adult Red-headed
Woodpecker was coming to our feeder. A few minutes ago, I saw it myself
for the first time. This locally-uncommon species is a first for our
west Nashville (Davidson Co.) yard, and it's not a species I'm
accustomed to seeing at feeders (although I know they do use them
occasionally). Not that I'm complaining!
