September 6, 2009 Location: Tennessee NWR, Duck River Unit, New Johnsonville, Humphreys County Got a call around 6 PM from Evan Gaskin whom was one of our summer students from UT-Martin. He was home for the weekend and stopped by the refuge. He spotted a single spoonbill in Pool 6 right off Refuge Lane, which is the main road through the bottoms. I headed down there with my camera and was able to get some pictures despite the fading light. We watched it for 1.5 hours before it flew off to roost. Checked again today (7th) and didn't find it.
