All:
Here is TWRA's official information about falconry in Tennessee:

An introduction: http://www.twraregion4.org/TWRANonGame/TWRAFalconry.htm

The actual regulations:
http://www.state.tn.us/sos/rules/1660/1660-01/1660-01-02.pdf.  Scroll down
to page 9 for the part on falconry.

The state regulations do not mention the need for a specific permit for a
licensed falconer to capture this or any other red-tailed hawk. There is
also no mention of any minimum or maximum age of a hawk or owl captured for
falconry.

Subject: [TN-Bird] Re: pending capture of white red-tail hawk

Thursday morning I will contact TWRA and find out options on this matter;
to
follow up & see if the permit has already been issued, if it can be
revoked,
who to contact at TWRA to call or send comments.

Thanks
