While at a local restaurant last night, I noticed that the Metro Pulse (a local Knoxville newspaper) had a cover story on Rikki Hall. Sadly, it appears Rikki passed away over the weekend after a battle with brain cancer. He wrote a column on nature and politics for the paper and was an occassional poster here on TN-Bird. From the Knoxville News Sentinel website: Rikki Hall, political and environmental writer, dies By News Sentinel staff Posted March 31, 2014 at 5:02 p.m. A memorial service for Richard Frederick "Rikki" Hall, a local writer of political and environmental issues, will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, April 12 at the Tennessee Valley Unitarian Universalist Church.
