weir below S. Holston Dam Sullivan Co. A drake duck that appears to be a Redhead x Ring-necked Duck hybrid was present today. Its body resembles a Ring-nk., but lacks the white crescent on the forward part of the side. The head is dark, with an obvious reddish cast, & less peaked than typical Ring-nk. The bill more closely resembles that of Ring-nk. Also present were: Canvasback - 2 (m & f) - rare in NE Tenn. Redhead - 1 f Ring-necked Duck - 2 m Greater Scaup - 1 f Lesser Scaup - 4 f Bufflehead - 212 Ruddy Duck - 1 f Am. Wigeon - 15 Am.
