I have noticed a resurgence of honeybees in my area..witnessed a big swarm of them last spring emerging from their hive in the brick steps of an abandoned farmhouse. This winter, I had honeybees visiting my porch on warm days where I would put out big plates of sugar water (I make it the same solution as I do for hummers) and the bees fed hungrily. I notice that they aren't active until the temperatures near 60, so that may be the reason that they aren't busy pollinating at certain times of the day. "My" birds seem to be hitting the suet harder now than they did back during the cold weather! I have to replace cakes every few days. Blamed ol' cowbirds are here in force...
