The online CBC database maintained by the National Audubon Society lists
534 Downy Woodpeckers as being counted on the 3 January 1981
Hickory-Priest CBC. The 1980 CBC report in the Migrant lists 53 DOWOs
for the same count, and I am thinking that the latter number is the
correct one, but if anyone has good reason to believe that the former
number is the correct one, please send along a quick response.

Thanks, Steve Stedman
