Last night I got home after dark (we won't talk aabout how long it took.) tho ' it wasn't late. As I walked by the large poplar tree next to the driveway, I heard a good bit of rustling around in the branches. I realized it was a great horned owl trying to leave the scene as I guess I was standing too close for its comfort (maybe 8 feet away). It almost seemed to have a little trouble getting away from the small branches tho it was certainly most graceful once it flew silently across the street.
