I made an attempt today to find the Merlins seen earlier this week at the
Anderson Road Recreation Area.  I had no success with the Merlins at mid-day
today, but a consolation prize was an Eared Grebe seen off the north side of
the hiking trail very near the shore.  There were also one Pied-billed Grebe,
and several Horned Grebes present.  Some years ago I saw another Eared Grebe in
this same area, the only records I have for this lake.
