I initially had two Forster's Terns in the driving rain this morning at
Snow Bunting, which were then joined by two Caspians. A short time later,
the group was 8 Sterna terns. I was sure at least one was a Common, but in
reviewing photos it appears that several were Common Terns, in various
plumage states. I think now the original 2 Forster's may have actually been
joined by 6 Commons. Or maybe 5 Commons and a third Forster's.
In any case, I believe they are still there (per messages from those on
site), and a good chance up observe these confusingly similar birds up
close. I reported one ("maybe two") Common Terns on eBird, but will revise
numbers as needed once I comb through photos on a computer.
