A female-plumaged Common Merganser was found Wednesday, Nov. 21, by Thomas M. Saya at Cane Creek Park, Putnam County, providing the first park and third county record of this duck. The bird was noted yesterday (SJS, Barbara H. Stedman) at 1100 CST and again this morning (SJS) at 0730 CST, each time on the north side of the lake (and this morning at the far western end of the lake near the dam).
