This morning a co-worker pointed out a color banded rock pigeon that she has seen outside of her classroom the past few days. It has a bright yellow over bluish green band on the right leg and a black/dark blue band on the left leg. The bird is not doing a lot of flying. When it did finally take off I noticed that it is missing several tail feathers. It clearly is molting. Does anyone recognize these color bands? Is this research? Or a "pet"? I was assuming/guessing that it was some research project. Tracey Muise West Knoxville Knox County Tracey Muise "Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot, nothing is going to get better.
