In our yard we have nesting red-shouldered hawks and their three fledglings. My husband feeds them chicken gizzards. The parents and now the young have taken to sitting in the birdbath and the feeder when they want to be fed. The other yard birds usually get along fine with them, but when they sit in the feeder the jays dive bomb them, and a couple of times have flown right into their backs. It has been a loud couple of weeks.
