T.E. Maxson Wastewater Treatment Plant
Shelby County
Sunday, May 11
In my hurry to get out word of the Hudsonian Godwit seen yesterday at the pits,
I forgot to mention two CASPIAN TERNS loafing in the same general area, the
series of ponds west of the main sludge pits. There were LOTS of birds around
the edges, staying out of the wind?in weedy areas?or tucked behind mounds of
dirt, but still good numbers to look at. Wish I could go back today!
