[TN-Bird] Young Bald Eagles, Knox County

Cove Island
Knox County

I took my scope out to the shore of Cove Island to check on the
Bald Eagles which nest across the lake in Blount County. I was
able to see two young birds standing on the edge of the nest.
They appeared to be at least 4-6 weeks old.

Other species of interest:

Wood Duck 6
Blue-winged Teal 14
Lesser Scaup 1
Common Loon 1
Pied-billed Grebe 3
Double-crested Cormorant 157
Great Egret 1
Osprey 2 ( on nest on buoy)
Fish Crow 1 (Riverbend Drive)
Many swallows - all species except Bank swarming over the lake with
                Tree Swallows and Rough-winged being the most abundant
Red-breasted Nuthatch 1 (birdfeeder)
Blue-gray Gnatcatcher 3
Cedar Waxwing 30
Purple Finch 4 (birdfeeder)
