Keith Watson and I birded Joachim Bible Refuge yesterday.

Highlights include:

Snowy Egret 1
Little Blue Heron 9
Pectoral Sandpiper 1
Western Sandpiper 1
Semi-palmated Sandpiper 2
Lesser Yellowlegs 1
Solitary Sandpiper 15
Spotted Sandpiper 5
Bank Swallow 4 (two birds were on a wire at the North end of the Refuge on
Concord Road just East of the main refuge drive. They were perched with Clif,
Barn, and Tree Swallows.) They were very cooperative for pictures!
Barn Owl 1
Northern Bobwhite 5

Shorebirds were here, but in low numbers. A refuge worker said that he has had
White Ibis there pretty regularly, but we didn't see any. We heard Grasshopper
Sparrows in the farm fields on Sapp road, and had a great two minute look at
two Mink playing on Sapp Road. Very cool!
