While birding Clingman's Dome in the Smokies, our birding group found 4
Yellow-rumped Warblers, two of which appeared to be paired and attending a nest
in a young Fraser Fir tree.

Does anyone know of other known nesting of this species in the Southern
Appalachians?  Ebird shows the species to occur year round, but this report was
flagged, as was a similar report last year.

I can provide photos of both male and female if desired, take by Van Sayler.
