A Yellow-bellied Flycatcher was heard calling on Saturday and Sunday morning (16,17 Sept 2006) from our neighborhood in West Knox Co. It was back in the woods and I never got to see it. It was doing the repetative puhwee call. Rose-breasted Grosbeaks showed up Sunday and continued on Monday. A good number of Summer Tanagers and 1 Scarlet were present over the weekend and had a Yellow-throated Vireo Monday morning. Saturday morning a good wave of warblers passed through but most (20-30) were flying overhead without stopping or being IDed though a couple of Tennessee Warblers did pass low enough to be IDed. A few stopped briefly including at least 3 Blackburnian, 3 American Redstarts and a Magnolia. A few Ruby-throated Hummingbirds continue with an adult male present all last week and last seen on Friday.
