While cutting through the gardens at Dixon Gallery and Gardens to get to a Flower Show, but wearing my binoculars, I spotted a warbler who was inspecting a cluster of hanging dead leaves. It was a Worm-eating Warbler, very much out of its usual habitat, but it did offer one of the best views I have seen in years. There were 2 White-eyed Vireos and 4 Blue-gray Gnatcatchers at Shelby Farms this morning along with a herd of 14+ deer and several species of spring butterflies.
