Robin Nation and myself had a Snowy Egret at Hebron Rd/Ford this morning. Dogs
chased it into a tree where it sat briefly before flying up creek. It was with
a few Great Egrets. Ebird shows this is a county first record.
On another note, while looking at Wilson county's Ebird stats I noticed that
a group of Horned Larks we had late last year were a first for the county. We
found them in the ag fields around Lebanon High School.
I also wanted to thank everyone who sent me a congratulatory email after I
posted about the Swallow-tailed Kite. It's always great to hear from birding
friends.
