May 28-29, 2006 [posting date: May 29, 2006] I was out of town last week when the wave of birds hit the Limestone-Telford-Bowmantown area of Washington County, but after returning on Saturday and reading my e-mail, I decided to visit the area to see what might show up or still be hanging around. May 29 Northern Bobwhite; Spotted Sandpiper (Bush Hog Boulevard); Western Sandpiper (Powell Road); Willow Flycatcher (Bud Lane); Warbling Vireo (2--1 Bush Hog Boulevard, 1 Shanks Road); Yellow Warbler (Bud Lane); Dickcissel (10--8 Keebler Road, 1 Smith Bridge Road, 1 intersection Old State Route 34 / Taylor Mill Road); Grasshopper Sparrow (7); Orchard Oriole (5).
