After being out of town several days for work, it was nice to come home to
a good day of migration. I birded a few different spots around Franklin,
but spent the bulk of my time just off the Natchez Trace in the northwest
part of Williamson County. I had a number of FOY birds and 18 warbler
species for the day including a singing Cerulean Warbler on what one could
imagine to be potential breeding territory (we can hope). I'm attaching the
list from the Natchez Trace, but another highlight was a Northern
Waterthrush singing from a creek in a field across Hwy 96 from Westhaven.
Good birding!
