While the last few days have had a number of First of Year birds around
Williamson County, today was relatively slow at Smith Park in Brentwood. The
best migrants were a couple of Blue-winged Warblers, a Yellow-throated Vireo
and a House Wren. The other highlight was an adult Red-headed Woodpecker that I
saw from the car as I was leaving the park. It was in some dead limbs in the
top of a tree near the pond by the park entrance.
Good birding!
