KTOS is excited to host birders from across the state next weekend, April 26-28, for the TOS Spring Meeting. Here's an overview of events: *Friday, April 26* 5-9 p.m.: Welcome room at the Clarion Inn. Come for snacks, drinks, and camaraderie. *Saturday, April 27* 7 a.m - noon.: Field trips to Sharps Ridge; Cove Lake and Cross Mountain; GSMNP; and Norris Dam and Eagle Bend Noon-5: Half-price admission to the zoo (by advance purchase only--contact us *now* if you need tickets. 1:00: Committee meetings at the Zoo Conference Center (above the Ranger Station) 2-4:30: Board of Directors meeting at the Zoo Conference Center 5:30: Bird Encounter behind the Zoo Ranger Station. Meet some of the zoo's residents up close and learn about their habits and habitats 6:00: Banquet and Program, Zoo Conference Center *Sunday* 7-Noon: Field Trips to Sharps Ridge; Cove Lake and Cross Mountain; Seven Islands, with a *bird banding* demonstration; and the Oak Ridge Reservation If you haven't yet arranged your lodgings, a few rooms are still available at the Clarion Inn.
