I just got word that the 2 Whooping Cranes are still on Bell's Bend in Davidson County. That's the good news. The bad news is they are still being seen only on private property. The two adult birds appear to roost on the east side of the river and feed in a corn field on the west side. Unfortunately, neither location can be seen from a road. The "hosts" of the cranes have yet to be able to see leg bands. The Sandhill Crane that had been accompanying the Whoopers has not been seen recently.
