At about 3pm this afternoon Mac and I saw a Whooping Crane in Warren Co. It
was feeding in a wet swale of a cornfield with about 20 Sandhill Cranes on
Fred Hoover Rd. north west of the town of Viola. Viola is on highway
127 near the southwest Warren County line.
We tried to relocate the bird about an hour later to photograph it and the
Sandhills, but Elvis had left the building.
