Whooping Cranes Over Tennessee Presentation

Learn about the fall return of the whooping cranes at a presentation by
Jim and Sandy Ulrikson of ?Whooping Cranes Over Tennessee.? The new
organization is dedicated to heightened public awareness and pride in
the history-making Whooping Crane reintroduction program.

The Whooping Crane once inhabited much of North America, including
Tennessee but was nearly wiped out due to unregulated hunting and human
development. The program, sponsored by Tennessee Citizens for Wilderness
Planning, will be Thursday, September 12 at 7:00 at the Oak Ridge Civic
Center Social Room. There is no admission and refreshments will be
served. For more information call Sandra K. Goss at 865.522 3809 or
