When I was a wildlife manager with TWRA, we trapped several along the French
Broad River in Cocke County. They were relocated in various places.
In the wildlife world, they are recognized as a "silver phase" turkey.

They come in various shades. The males have quite a bit of predominant
black on the tail, wings and torso, while the female may be nearly all
white.
Anyway, I used to get chided when I referred to them as butterball specials.
