Saturday morning ( July 2 ) we went to O'Neal Lake at the Hatchie NWR
in Haywood Co to see Carolyn Bullock's white ibises. We had seen the
same bird down in Texas, but never in Tennessee.

7 White Ibises, first year ( brown and white with brown beaks )
9 Little Blue Herons, 6 adults and 3 immatures
3 Great Egrets
2 Great Blue Herons
1 Red Tailed Hawk
1 Belted Kingfisher, female
1 Great Crested Flycatcher
1 Blue-gray Gnatcatcher
1 Eastern Phoebe
2 Eastern Kingbirds
Wood Ducks
lots of Indigo Buntings
lots of Barn Swallows
and of course, the usual suspects
