Victor and I saw the adult White Ibis this afternoon 7-13-16 from 6 to 7
p.m. at the previously mentioned location at Gupton Wetlands, but the bird
wasn't visible from the paved path, or from Storming Norman Road, but at
the end of a one mile hike along the powerlines North of the paved path.
Most of the best wader habitat is at this location, and we counted 4
Black-crowned Night-herons, 42 Little Blue Herons, 24 Cattle Egrets and 10
Green Herons here.
Thanks to Morton Massey for reporting. This was the first adult White
Ibis I've seen in the state.
