May 8-9, 2010 Memphis, Shelby Co. Key Corner, Lauderdale Co. TN Before I made my run to Reelfoot Saturday, I stopped by to the check Western Kingbird haunts around Memphis. I finally ran up on a traveling Western Kingbird feeding but continually moving east along the causeway to President's Island. I found no other birds until an unexpected female Scissor-tail appeared along Key Corner Road near Scott's Bluff. Magically, over night all these slots were filled, as today I found and photographed Western Kingbirds at 4 locations; President's Island, southwest Memphis warehouse area, Frayser and Levee Road.
