May 7th, 2019, Pioneer Farm Road, Dyer County;
BLACK-BILLED CUCKOO, 2 heard predawn, identified by nocturnal flight calls.
Also the three common owls heard.

ANHINGA, 3 came up and circled just before noon.

BLACK-NECKED STILT, 46, good numbers trying to nest here.

PEREGRINE FALCON, seen taking down a shorebird.
We couldn’t find the White-faced Ibis.

May 7th, 2019, junction 103 and Great River Road, Dyer County
  Twenty seven species of warblers including Golden-winged, Cerulean,
Blackburnian, Bay-breasted, Wilson’s, Cape May, and a singing CONNECTICUTT
WARBLER at dawn.

PHILADELPHIA VIREO, 2/3, also Blue-headed Vireo

PEREGRINE FALCON, flyover.

OLIVE-SIDED FLYCATCHER, flyover.

BELL’S VIREO, two birds singing about 100 yards apart.

May 7th, 2019, Presidents Island, Shelby County
WESTERN KINGBIRD, 18, high count. Dipped on Painted Bunting. (We ended the
day with 156 species)

May 8th, 2019, Ensley Pits
  No Painted Bunting at the Bunting corner. No Glossy Ibis at the pits.
Continuing FULVOUS WHISTLING DUCK seen in the usual area. Male PAINTED
BUNTING and a cooperative CANADA WARBLER found above Big Stinky. Average
numbers of the usual shorebirds around, including a WILSON’S PHALAROPE. A
single ANHINGA and a NORTHERN HARRIER seen circling over the pits around 10
a.m.

May 8th, 2019, Chickasaw NWR, Lauderdale County.
Here the entrance Road was flooded and we couldn’t go in, but we found a
cooperative SWAINSON’S WARBLER singing along the road, also a CANADA
WARBLER.

May 8th, Highway 88 Lauderdale County
  The usual shorebirds with 5 BLACK-BELLIED PLOVERS and a high count of 115
STILT SANDPIPERS.

May 8th, Bradley Road, Dyer County
22 BLACK-BELLIED PLOVERS, which we thought was a high count at the time.

May 9th, 2019,  Dyer County
SEMIPALMATED PLOVER, high count of 253 with 227 counted at Pioneer Farm
Road alone and all the rest at other nearby locations.

BLACK-BELLIED PLOVER, high count of 81, all but 11 in Dyer County. (42 on
103 West, 23 on Bradley Road, 5 on Pioneer Farm Road, and the other 11 At
Robinson Bayou in Lake County.)

RING-NECKED DUCK, 7 drakes along the Great River Road at highway 103.

RUDDY DUCK, 13 at Pioneer Farm Road

LESSER SCAUP, pair at Pioneer Farm Road

AMERICAN BLACK DUCK, a late hen at Pioneer Farm Road. We went as close as
we could to try to turn it into a Mottled Duck, but it didn’t work. It was
just an ABDU.

  I’m sure I didn’t remember everything but all the complete lists are on
ebird for those who care.
