The Cove at Concord Park (West Knox County) Sunday afternoon in light intermittent rain that kept the crowds away but not the birds. A handsome Blue-Winged Teal couple in close (near side of the sandbar where the gulls like to congregate) afforded great looks. A more distant mixed flock on the other side of the sandbar had 28 Coots, 3 female Buffleheads and a single female Ring-necked duck. No grebes anywhere. Chipping sparrows were trilling and looking crisply attractive in their breeding plumage (had a couple Saturday at Norris Songbird Trail, Anderson County as well). So, my FOS at Norris and SOS (?) at Concord. Carole Gobert, Knoxville, TN _________________________________________________________________ Exercise your brain!
