[TN-Bird] Waterfowl at Kingston Steam Plant

I birded TVA's Kingston Steam Plant in Roane County, Kingston, TN on
December 8, 2006 from 8:32 am to 10:05 am. The water elevation in Watts Bar
Lake was 736.83 feet which is low enough to expose many acres of mudflats in
the river/lake. No shorebirds were seen on the flats. Waterfowl observed:
1. Canada goose- at least 38
2. American black duck- 3
3. Mallard- at least 32
4. Northern pintail- 1
5. Gadwall- 1
6. Ring-neck duck- 11
7. Common goldeneye- 4
8. Bufflehead- 2
9. Hooded merganser- 165
