Good timing allowed me to catch two small waves passing through the back
yard this morning (4 Sept).

E Wood-Pewee, 1
WARBLING VIREO, 1 giving great looks
Ovenbird, 2
Magnolia Warbler, 1
Chestnut-sided Warbler, 1

Our surviving Black Gums (a.k.a. Black Tupelos) are attracting the usual
crew of Grey Squirrels, Am Robins, Eur Starlings, E Bluebirds, Scarlet and
Summer Tanagers, Cedar Waxwings, Brown Thrashers, N Mockingbirds, RB
Woodpeckers, N Flickers, and the occassional vireo. No Catharus thrushes
spotted yet. I haven't seen the Pileated WPs in the yard but have heard
them out in the woods where they are probably hitting some of the other
Black Gums.

Heh. Just noticed the thrush pun. "Spotted". :-)
