At 2:30 pm today at the marsh beside Walter Davis Blvd. on The Tennessee State
University campus several bird species were present. I saw one male redhead, 5
hooded mergansers, 15 Northern shovelers, about 50 gadwalls, about 20
ring-necked ducks, about 12 American coots, 4 mallards, a kingfisher, and a
Cooper’s hawk. All were close enough for good photos.
