Walter S. Davis Blvd Marsh Davidson Co. Nashville, TN 2010 Dec. 7 7:20-7:25am cloudy On my way to work Tuesday morning I stopped briefly at the small marsh next to Walter S. Davis Blvd behind Tenn. State Univ. The well below freezing temperatures meant that the small "lake" in the marsh was nearly frozen over but 7 species of ducks were working hard to keep open water available. In addition to the usual suspects, I found my first NORTHERN PINTAILs there today. Water birds: Gadwall 4 American Wigeon 1 Mallard 58 N. Shoveler 2 N.
