I first became aware of this issue through a colleague of mine who lives in the Bell's Bend area. The Nashville Chapter of TOS will be lending our support to blocking this development in the Bell's Bend area, and hopefully, developing a conservation plan to prevent further issues from arising. Further information is available at the metro planning department website http://www.nashville.gov/mpc/. The next community meeting is on Tuesday Feb 19th at the Scottsboro Community Club, 5201 Old Hydes Ferry Pike. I encourage Nashville area TOS members and birders to attend. As Richard mentioned, you can also help by contacting your council person, the mayor's office, and the planning department.
