Subject: Update on Northern Wheatear
After the fog lifted the bird was consistently seen this morning from 9 – 11
am. It was feeding around and in a large cow field. The bird was very
cooperative and could easily be seen from the road.
If you plan to go see the bird today, please call Tony King as soon as possible
at 865-988-6172. I think he is meeting some folks back out there again at
1:30. If for any reason you can’t get a hold of Tony please call me.
If you plan to go see the bird tomorrow or Wednesday (assuming it is still
around), please contact me at 865-806-9967. We are going to try to have
someone from KTOS stationed out there who can help give directions and show
people exactly where the bird has been seen. The owners of this farm have
given us permission to view the bird but we need to do so in an orderly fashion.
