Hey Birdwatchers, I have a wierdy........a parakeet of some sort.here in Charlotte Park, West Nashville, Davidson County. I don't know what it is and cannot find my book> It is budgie length, but fatter. It's mostly greem with an azure blue rump, an orange forehead. a fleshy orange beak and pale underneath. It's fair tame and posed well, so I have it documented. I noticed it when it up to the glass on my French door. It has been calling like crazy and just flew out of sight toward the next house. I no longer hear it calling. It is BEAUTIFUL. Can anyone suggest a viable I.D.? THIS IS NOT AN APRIL FOOL'S DAY JOKE. I suspect that it is someone's pet that escaped. Seemed pretty tame.
