will be leading to Stevenson, Al (just south of the Tennessee border) for the Chattanooga TOS chapter in February. While there he observed 10 species of Ducks which included American Wigeon, Northern Shoveler and Ruddy Duck. In addition he saw 1 Adult Bald Eagle, with a possible 2nd as well as 4 Red-headed Woodpeckers. The best find of the day was a pair of Green Herrons near the Boat Ramp at Coon Creek Outfitters. They kept flying out for a quick fish hunt and then back to the same near-by tree. They always ended up together in that tree. Certainly it is unusual to see them this far north in January. We thank Harold for emailing the local members about this sighting.
