[TN-Bird] Turkey trots

Alas, we have had to curtail feeding the small army of turkeys. While it is 
easy to brush off the normal dry droppings, our feeding seems to be creating an 
unexpected problem. Either the corn, or the home-made suet and black oil 
sunflowewr seeds that they have taken to raiding as well, has given at least 
some of them, including the ones that sit on the deck rail, a bad case of the 
trots. So they are being politely asked to stop coming in so close. That has 
caused slim pickings for the usual deck birds I fear. Still, we did manage to 
add pine siskins to the Cornell Count this weekend. Ralph brinkhurst, Lebanon, 
Wilson Co.
