Hi Boyd, and others,

The last few times we've been there in the last 3 weeks, Tracey
Everson and I have seen several hundred of both vulture species
coming in to roost on the very large high-tension wire stanchions
which are visible from both observation areas on river right,
downstream of the dam.

There are also several dozen Great Blue Heron nests on the nearer 2
stanchions. Haven't been back since Wallace asked us to count,
though, so I don't have an accurate number.

I do not recall these nests from last year. Doesn't mean they
weren't there, but they are quite visible, so I would *think* I would
have seen them. So perhaps a colony has moved? I know there are at
least a couple birders more familiar with the area than I am...
