A short while back I posted about Tree Swallows as a new yard bird. Number 106 I believe. Since the first time I saw Tree Swallows out at Braneird Levee I have wanted some around my place here in Bradley County, TN. It seems my wish has come true. Its looks like a pair of Tree Swallows may have taken over one of my bluebird boxes just below the house. I have 10-15 boxes scattered around our 15 acres. I am not sure what might have attracted them to our place. Just across the fence is 40 acres of open pasture. We have a 20 foot by 40 foot swimming pool which they may have also found enticing. Whatever the reason for them taking up residence I am very pleased. Hope they are able to raise a couple of families this summer. J.
