Duck River Unit Humphereys County While overall waterfowl totals appear to be down since last Friday, species totals are up. Mallards still dominate, but Gadwalls, No. Pintails, No. Shovelers, Am. Wigeons, Wood Ducks and Ring-necked Ducks are present in good numbers. There were hundreds of ducks that, because of distance, I could not ID, so it is possible more species are here. A flock of Am. Pipits were seen in a recently harvested soy bean field. A mature Bald Eagle was a great sight as was close looks at two handsome adult male No. Harriers. Brr-It felt like winter today, but that should bring more birds our way. Gary Casey Kingston Springs, Tn. Talk and walk softly, carry a big scope. =================NOTES TO SUBSCRIBER===================== The TN-Bird Net requires you to sign your messages with first and last name, city (town) and state abbreviation. ----------------------------------------------------- ---------------------------------------------------- To post to this mailing list, simply send email to: tn-bird@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx ----------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, send email to: tn-bird-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with 'unsubscribe' in the Subject field. * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * TN-Bird Net is owned by the Tennessee Ornithological Society Neither the society(TOS) nor its moderator(s) endorse the views or opinions expressed by the members of this discussion group.
