Inspired by Dean, I went out at 6:00 a.m. this morning to listen for nocturnal flight calls. The sky was full of calling thrushes, mostly Swainson's but I believe I picked out some Veery, Wood, and Gray- cheeked Thrushes as well. As usual most of them seemed to keep flying, and the daylight morning rounds a bit later found 5 Swainson's and one each Wood and Gray-cheeked. Not a bad count for me here, but nothing compared to what was in our airspace pre-dawn!

Must have been a lot of thrushes flying over or following that front that passed through here yesterday and last night. My yard is filled with dozens of thrushes this morning, mostly Swainson's but I haven't looked at each one!!
