As you can see by the absence of my name for any of Bill's lists, I'm hardy one to be encouraging folks to use eBird but on the point he mentions below on entering old data into eBird, I did want to let folks know that if (like me) you use AviSys to keep track of your bird records, there is now a feature that allows you to output your AviSys data into a format that can be directly input to eBird (at least supposedly, admittedly I haven't taken time to try it myself). In theory this would make it better for folks like me to submit to eBirds... in practice though, I do good if I even get around to putting things in AviSys.
