Lake elevation: 972.8'
Lower lake levels resulting from drought conditions have allowed early
exposure of rich mudflats at Ten Islands, midway between the Leadvale boat
ramp and Walters Bridge. The shorebird feeding grounds should continue to
expand well into August.
Seen this evening:
Killdeer (250+)
Greater yellowlegs (2)
Lesser yellowlegs (7)
Spotted sandpiper (4)
Semipalmated sandpiper (3)
Least sandpiper (160)
Pectoral sandpiper (71)
Stilt sandpiper (5)
Short-billed dowitcher (4)
