Here's a link to a recent TWRA story about dead birds that have tested positively for salmonella in regions III and IV. Per the article, they have taken bird seed samples for testing but do not have the results yet. http://news.tennesseeanytime.org/node/1008 Though belated, I also wanted to relay that we observed two Osprey at a nest site near the TVA Bull Run Steam Plant in Oak Ridge (Anderson Co.). The birds were observed on Saturday, 07 March 2009, from the intersection of Melton Lake Drive and Edgemoor Road. The birds were seen on top of a large powerline tower that held a successful nest last year. Though we were only driving by, we could see one bird on the nest and another sitting on the opposite side of the tower. Good birding, Angela Hoffman & Seth McConchie Angela M.
